The domed brass cage enclosing two articulated singing birds covered in real feathers with animated beaks, heads and tails, operated by a hand cranked mechanism with winding handle and catch to the side. The wire cage surmounted by a ball finial with suspension ring, the round base with decorative embossed frieze of scrolling foliage, 20” (52 cm) high, 11” (28 cm) in diameter.
