Description
A Delightful 19th Century Straw-work Box. The glazed rectangular lid decorated with a Town-scape depicted in coloured straw within a herringbone border, opening to reveal a fitted interior housing two crimson velvet pin cushions and four lidded partitions inlaid with sprays of straw-work flowers and buildings, enclosing dished vibrant striped straw lined compartments. The box’s sides decorated with scrollwork on a green stained ground, 4” (10 cm) high, 11” (28 cm) wide, 8¼” (21 cm) deep.
