A Rare 18th Century Ash & Elm Ladder-backed Armchair. The turned top rail with tapered ends pierced through by the pole turned uprights, above five stick ‘rungs’. The flat shaped arm-rests on turned posts leading down to an elm plank seat and on to form the slightly out-swept legs with three stick stretchers to the front & rear, and further pairs of stretcher to the sides, 40” (102 cm) high, 23” (58 cm) wide.
