A Fine Chinese Silk Embroidery worked in a subtle palette of soft browns with touches of coral, depicting a symmetrical scene with peahens & peacocks stood on rockwork to the base, amidst tree peonies and prunus blossom, butterflies and finches flitting amongst the branches. The beige brocade backing with central seam, edged in a decorative border embroidered with blue & metallic threaded flowers, 22½” x 19” (57 cm x 48 cm). In a later linen mount and glazed black frame 28¼” x 24½” (72 cm x 62 cm)
