Description
A Group of Eleven 19th Century Turned Lignum Seal Boxes. The small flat circular boxes ranging in size from 2” (5.3 cm) to 1” (2.7 cm) in diameter: The largest having an engine turned border of radial fluting; the others with ring turned roundels to the lids. Four containing wax seals. One housing a relief moulded cameo with portrait bust titled LAURA and printed paper label reading ‘Longman late Strongitharm Engravers to the Queen, and Jewellers, Waterloo Place, London.*
