The champlevé enameled dial set in an oval case intricately painted in polychrome enamels with a figural scene to the back and surmounted by a winged cherub head finial. The case having a painted interior depicting landscape, raised upon the head of ‘The Pelican in her Piety’ perched on a knopped champlevé pedestal and domed foot emblazoned with four scenic roundels painted with nymphs in landscape, the underside with scrollwork, 7” (18 cm) in height.
