A Small 19th Century Parisian Porcelain Jewel Casket by Tahan of rectangular form. The hinged dome lid and bulge side panels embellished with turquoise and white enamelled beads, ruby foil backed adornments and gilding on a lemon yellow enamelled ground, with gilt metal frame and foliate scroll supports. The base with paper label ‘Tahan Bould. des Italiens 11 Ci devant R de la Paix Paris’. The interior lined in buttoned ivory silk padding. 2½” (6.5 cm) high, 4” (10 cm) wide, 3” (7.5 cm) deep.
