Description
A Fine Treen Pilgrim’s Flask, probably sycamore. The circular body with ring-turned decoration, raised on flour short splayed bracket feet, and with a wooden slip-on cover with mushroom knop (chipped) connected to the flask by a leather thong, the shoulders with two holes to which are attached a leather carrying thong, natural shrinkage across the grain and with superb patina. 12¼ ins (31 cm) high (including cover) x 7½ ins (19 cm) across body.
