An 18th Century Scandinavian Wooden Standard Candle-Light. The platform top having a pierced lug projecting from one side with a sprung bentwood rush holder. The square canted stem leading down to a cruciform block base; each foot branded with initials CFIS and gouge carved with date 1746, with a later date of 1818 to the stem, 34¼” (87 cm) high.
