A Pair of William & Mary Style Carved Walnut High backed Chairs. The padded backs with Cupid’s bow shaped tops, on short baluster turned posts leading down to upholstered seats (A/F). The upholstery now covered in linen fabric printed with flowers and foliage, ho-ho birds & butterflies on a cream ground. The moulded square tapering legs on briganza feet with scrolled terminals, united by wavy X-form stretchers centred by a turned finial. 47 in (119 cm) high, the seats 17½ in (45 cm) high, 20 in (51 cm) wide.
