Description
A 19th Century Figured Walnut Bonheur du Jour with diagonally grained tulipwood borders edged with stringing and decorative Rococo style gilt bronze mounts. The back section having a central cabinet with a shaped ebonised panel door mounted with a Sèvres style oval porcelain plaque hand-painted with a nymph and cherub in landscape in bleu céleste border embellished with gilding. The serpentine base with a brushing slide and centre drawer to the swept apron, standing on square tapering cabriole legs 49” (124 cm) high,42” (107 cm) wide, 24” (61 cm) deep.
