A Bronze Patinated Cast Mortar. The repaired rim having a band inscribed EHRT GODT BOVEN AL ANNO 1639, above two frieze bands of scrolling fleur-de-lis motifs centred by astrigal ring moulding, with small zoomorphic lug handles either side, 4½” (11.5 cm) high, 4¾” (12 cm) in diameter.
