Description
A Delightful 19th Century Viennese Enamel & Gilt Bronze Figural Watch Holder. The spherical watch receptacle intricately painted with a figural roundel either side depicting a lady & cherub in landscape, on a rich blue enamelled ground with gilt embellishments, and surmounted by a rococo scroll finial. The case held aloft by a winged cherub stood upon a domed pedestal painted with cherubs in three scenic panels, and raised on a sweeping foliate cast gilt base with scrolled cartouche feet, 7” (18 cm) in height.
