A 19th Century Cast Metal Viennese Lady’s Desk Set. The scrolling Rococo frame adorned with garlands of roses and surmounted by a pierced trelliswork crest above an inset oval plaque to the back painted in polychrome enamelled with winged lovers in landscape and mounted with a small enamelled dialed clock. The sides issuing flower head candle sockets on swirling stems above lidded inkpots (one hinge A/F) flanking a central vide-poche dish, 8” (20 cm) high, 8” (20 cm) wide.
