Description
Three 19th Century Turned Treen Bowls: The largest turned from elm with two grooves of ring turning to the rim and further turning to the sides on a slightly raised foot, 4” (10 cm) high, 8½” (21.5 cm) in diameter. One turned from heart wood with medullary rings radiating from slightly off centre, a moulded lip to the exterior rim, tapering down to a footless base, 2¼” (6 cm) high, 6” (15 cm) in diameter. The third possibly ash with ring turned sides on a slightly raised foot, 2¼” (5.5 cm) high, 6” (15 cm) diameter.*
