Three Pieces of Turned Lignum Vitae: A Good Late 19th Century Counter-top String Box of cylindrical shape with flared flat base and over-lapping turned, slightly domed screw-off cover with central knop incorporating a steel cutter, 6 ¼ ins (16 cm) high. A 19th century spill vase with a tall cylindrical ribbed body over an inverted baluster stem and domed circular foot turned with a narrow band of concentric circles, 10 ¾ ins (27 cm) tall. Another 19th century spill vase having a cylindrical body turned with horizontal concave bands separated by fine grooves, over a short spool stem and deep circular foot with ring turned sides, 8 ¼ ins (21 cm) tall.
