Description
An Attractive Silver Mounted Tortoiseshell Clock, Circa 1908. The lancet arched case inlaid with silver stringing and having a round cap to the rear opening with Birmingham assay marks alongside S Blanckensee & Son Ltd maker’s punch, engraved with inscription ‘St Mary’s Sunday School Loughton 1908-1910’. The Swiss made movement stamped 598547, the handsome white enamelled dial marked with black Arabic numerals and having a subsidiary seconds dial and gilt hands. Standing on squat bun feet, 5” (13 cm) in height.
