A Good Early 19th Century Rosewood Apothecary Box inset with brass corner brackets, escutcheon and handles. The lid opening to reveal a compartmented interior fitted with various glass bottles & jars and having a pin to the front securing a lower drawer housing further bottles and a glass pestle & mortar beneath a lift-out partitioned tray with weighing scales, weights and a horn handled palette knife. 8¾” (22 cm) high, 8¾” (22 cm) wide, 7” (17.5 cm) deep.
