Description
An Unusual 17th Century Style Joined Oak Side Chair. The back having a replaced top rail with asymmetric carving defined against a recessed ground above a moulded arched upper panel framing a small acorn appliqué, and an edge-moulded principal panel carved with a flowering plant in a shaped recess with pitted ground. The uprights decorated with rising stems flowering to the top below carved scroll terminals. The plank seat on ball turned legs united by similarly turned peripheral stretchers, 41” (104 cm) high, the seat 17¼” (44 cm) high, 19” (49 cm) wide.
