Description
A Fine Early 19th Century Carved Treen Twin-handled Tobacco Jar & Cover. The turned lid surmounted by an acorn finial on a raised mushroom pediment intricately carved with radial fluting above a moulded border enriched with beading. The cup form base adorned with a band of stiff leaves between the shaped lug handles and fine radial fluting fanning out from the pedestal foot, 7” (18 cm) in height.
