Description
A Matched Pair of Octagonal Carved Marquetry Plaques attributed to the workshops of Eger, 17th century, and set in ebonised ripple moulded frames. The plaques carved in low relief & embellished with punchwork. Depicting Roman Heroes; Gaius Mucius Scaevole and Publius Horatius Cocles, displayed against nail punched scrolling foliate backgrounds, (38 cm x 34 cm).
