A Georgian Silver Chafing Dish by Edward Barton hallmarked 1823. The rectangular pan having gadrooned edging embellished with foliate sprays, and a radial reeded lid surmounted by a flower head knop lifting off to reveal a liner. The handle turned from ebony (approx 940 g).
