A Handsome Mahogany Armchair with ivorine maker’s label ‘Weir & Hamilton, 22 Woodlands Road Glasgow’. The slightly arched rectangular back, padded arm rests and sprung seat covered in a golden cream coloured jacquard weave fabric of foliate design edged with brass studs. The scroll end arms on swept supports carved with leafy embellishments. Standing on cabriole legs with scrolled knop feet enhanced with acanthus carving, 41” (104 cm) high, 28½” (72 cm) wide, 28½” (72 cm) deep.
