An 18th Century Folk Art Tobacco Pipe with Whistle, composed of three branch sections retaining original bark. The forked stem incorporating the whistle and slotting into the rustic stummel, carved with a protuberant dog’s head to the shaft and a bearded face mask to the chamber dated 1749. The bowl capped by a naively carved nesting bird, 15” (38 cm) in length.
