A 17th Century Joined Oak Box Seated Side Chair. The back composed of four bobbin turned spindles between egg & fillet rails capped by finials. The uprights surmounted by scroll-carved lobe terminals. The seat with moulded edge and iron butterfly hinges rising to reveal a box compartment enclosed by panel sides with integral corner columns to the front above ball turned legs united by bobbin turned peripheral stretchers, terminating on ball feet 40” (102 cm) high, 19” (48 cm) seat height, 19¼” (49 cm) wide.
