A Rare 19th Century Comb-back Windsor Armchair with residual paintwork, attributed to Leicestershire. The deeply curved, bent ash top rail above fifteen long stick spindles piercing through the ash arm-bow with bent wood supports either side. The elm seat on baluster turned legs united by a turned H-form stretchers, 44” (112 cm) high, 21¾” (55 cm) wide, the seat 14½” (37 cm) high. [A very similar example illustrated in Bill Cotton’s Book, is attributed to W. Rowe Hallaton, Leicestershire].
