The front painted with a figural scene of courtiers to the centre on a black ground framed by a red ground band of flowers and bats edged on a string of painted pearls, above three recessed key patterned frieze panels and a plinth base. The sides fitted with swing handles; the front with circular latch plate, 27 in (68.6 cm) high, 38½ in (98 cm) wide, 23 in (58.5 cm) deep.
