A Large19th Century Hanging Hall Lantern of hexagonal form. The bevelled clear glass panel sides in a brass frame with an ornamental pendant finial to the base of each upright and a decorative crested mount to the top below sweeping broken-scroll arms leading down form a central stem. The stem forked into three downswept light branches, 38¾” (98.5 cm) high, 14½” (37 cm) wide. [Ex Updown House near Eastry, once owned by a member of Lord Northbourne’s family].
