Description
A Late 19th Century Marquetry Bureau de Dame in the Louis XV Style. The top having a gilt metal gallery rail cast with foliate scrolls and an inlaid panel of trailing flowers and foliage. The sloped, sweeping fall front marquetried with a ribbon-tied bouquet of drifting flowers & foliate within diagonally grained borders and a gilt metal trim, opening to reveal a green baize writing surface and three ogee moulded drawers. The swept apron housing a drawer, standing on square tapering cabriole legs adorned with gilt mounts, 37¾” (96 cm) high, 27½” (70 cm) wide, 18” (46 cm) deep.
