An Impressive, Rare and Museum Quality Vintage Silver Zuni Beaded Necklace, featuring a large ”Owl” figure, signed ”L”. The limposing figure is inlaid with robins egg blue turquoise with a silver and black matrix for the eyes with a larger piece for the torso area, natural dark red coral for the central decoration with bear claw detail to the neck of the figure and as a pendent, with turquoise cob to the base. The silverwork decoration includes large hand worked raindrop beading as well as curved feather decoration to the wing and head areas. The owl is attached to a handmade bench bead sterling silver necklace with later extension, the owl figure retains a Bolo clasp to the rear. Approx. 67cm in length. The pendent itself measuring approx. 22cm tall, 9cm wide.
