A 19th Century Oak Goblet with turned knop to base of bowl and short stem over a circular foot with moulded edge and straight sides, the underside of foot stamped ''In Memoriam HMS Eurydice''. 6 iN (15 cm) tall. [Note: There were two Royal Navy ships named HMS Eurydice, the first a 24-gun post ship launched in 1781 and broken up in 1834; the second, likewise a 24-gun post ship launched in 1843, becoming a training ship in 1861 and foundering in 1878. This goblet commemorates, and possibly is made from the oak of, one of these ships].
