An 18th Century Hunting Sword (possibly Irish). The carved ivory grip with a decorative foliated steel pommel and cruciform hilt incorporating a coat of alms engraved with an impaled swan above a coronet and inscribed with motto SEMTER ET UBIQUE FIDELES. The double edged blade measuring 19 ins (48 cms) in length sheathed in a leather and steel tipped scabbard.
