    A Fine Quality 19th Century French Writing Slope by Tahan of Paris. The hinged 'piano lid' shaped back and sloped front clad in small square tiles of ebony veneer and inlaid with ivory; a central design incorporating a CL monogramed urn, and a bordering band of elaborate scrolling foliage enhanced with penwork. The rosewood interior fitted with stationary racks, pen and inkwell partitions and a leather writing slope, with inset brass maker's plaque engraved 'TAHAN Boul. des Italiens 11 PARIS'. 8¼ in (21 cm) high, 15½ in (39.5 cm) wide, 13¼ in (33.5 cm) deep.

    A Fine Quality 19th Century French Jewellery Casket by Tahan, Paris. The rectangular ebony box richly carved with undulating scrolls of flowers and foliage and mounted with Limoges enamelled plaques; an oval plaque to the front and rectangular plaque to the lid decorated with grisaille enamelled allegorical scenes and fine gilt details edged in gilt brass trim. The interior lined in padded and buttoned crimson silk. 5¼ in (13.5 cm) high, 9½ in (24 cm) wide, 7½ in (19 cm) deep.

    A Late 17th Century Inlaid Italian Collector's Cabinet on Stand. The cabinet clad in ebony and coromandel veneers intricately decorated throughout with scrolling zoomorphic foliage in contra parti panels of ivory inlay, enhanced with ivory stringing and framed by engraved banding. The cabinet's exterior having decoratively cast silvered metal corner brackets and ornate swing carrying handles either side. The fall front enclosing drawers surrounding a central cupboard, with small silver metal ring handles on face mask mounts. The later ebonised stand with knopped spiral turned legs united by a shaped X-form stretcher with centre platform terminating on turned feet, 50½ in (128 cms) high, 24½ in (62 cms) wide, 15¼ in (39 cms) deep.

    A 17th Century Italian Inlaid Collectors Cabinet clad in coromandel veneers and embellished with panels of bone marquetry framed by strings of silver inlay. The rectangular cabinet having decorative pierced corner mounts and ornately cast swing handles to the sides. The hinged fall front opening to reveal a central cupboard enclosing two inner drawers, surrounded by further drawers enriched with fine engraved bone inlay, 14¼ in (37 cm) high, 17 in (43 cm) wide, 12½ in (32 cm) wide.

    An Attractive Late 19th Century Florentine Marquetry Centre Table in the style of Falconi Bros, retailed by Edwards & Roberts. The rectangular top lavishly inlaid with scrolls of flowering foliage and birds perched amongst the stems, framed by ivory and ebony zig-zagged parquetry edge moulding. The swept frieze housing a long drawer enriched with further foliate inlay, and stamped along the inside edge EDWARDS & ROBERTS, WARDOUR ST LONDON. The wrythen turned ebonised double-bine legs spiralling down to a flat, shaped and pierced stretcher ornamented with marquetry and conforming ebony & ivory edge moulding, raised on bun feet, 30 in (76 cms) high, 44 in x 29½ in (112 cm x 75 cm).

    A Fine 18th Century Maltese Serpentine Front Commode Chest ornamented with inlaid bands of zigzagged parquetry and stringing. The top edged in parquetry moulding of contrasting striped timbers. The two short and two long drawers fitted with ornately cast gilt metal mounts and raised on cabriole legs, 35½ ins (90 cms) high, 52 ins (132 cms) wide, 23½ ins (60 cms) deep.
