Cast in the form of a prancing beast with dark patinated eyes and upswept tail forming a handle, having a central stem forming a socket with screw thread interior.     A 17th Century German Walnut Casket of rectangular form with ripple moulded twin panels. The lid having silver-painted iron strap hinges with a lock to the centre, opening to reveal a decorative sprung lock mechanism to the interior painted silver, with one side panel sliding out to access a secret compartment below. The sides fitted with swing handles. The front with a chip carved central muntin, standing on small silvered bun feet, 11 in (28 cm) high, 18½ in (47 cm) wide, 10½ in (27 cm) deep.
