    Three Pieces of Turned Lignum Vitae: A Good Late 19th Century Counter-top String Box of cylindrical shape with flared flat base and over-lapping turned, slightly domed screw-off cover with central knop incorporating a steel cutter, 6 ¼ ins (16 cm) high. A 19th century spill vase with a tall cylindrical ribbed body over an inverted baluster stem and domed circular foot turned with a narrow band of concentric circles, 10 ¾ ins (27 cm) tall. Another 19th century spill vase having a cylindrical body turned with horizontal concave bands separated by fine grooves, over a short spool stem and deep circular foot with ring turned sides, 8 ¼ ins (21 cm) tall.

Each having a large capacity plain bowl turned with two parallel incised lines below the rim, and short waisted stem with basal blade knop over spreading slightly domed circular foot with stepped edge, one with old tight crack to foot. 6½ ins (16.5 cm) high

    A Superb Late 18th /Early 19th Century Mahogany Tobacco Jar of urn form with turned moulded bands to the waisted body and stepped circular foot. The tightly-fitting domed lid similarly turned and surmounted by a central mushroom finial, the interior with the original lead lining and lead compression weight. 9¼ ins (23.5 cm) high.

    A Miscellaneous Lot of Treen. To include a late 18th /early 19th century boxwood shoemaker's sizing stick calibrated in English and French shoe sizes and stamped ''J. TREE & Co. MAKERS CHARLOTTE STREET BLACK FRs RD LONDON'', with one fixed stop and one sliding stop, both shaped as shoes soles, 18 ins (45.5 cm) long; a 19th century lignum vitae roller tapering from the middle towards both ends and stamped ''MARCUS WARD'', 15 ¾ ins (40 cm) long; a 19th century mahogany church collection plate with moulded rims and (replacement) green baize to centre, 9 ¾ ins (25 cm) dia; a 19th century paperknife with a scimitar shaped blade inlaid with intarsia work depicting two oxen pulling a sledge with attendants and passengers inside, the handle inlaid with a flower, 13½ ins (34 cm) long; a late 19th /early 20th century pokerwork page turner decorated on the upper surface with a sunflower, the underside stained black, 14¼ in (36 cm) long; a late 19th century brass mounted ebony spirit level stamped ''ALEXR MARSHALL GLASGOW'', 10 ins (25.5 cm) long; an 18th/19th century lignum stable log with ring turned bands, 10 ins (10 cm) dia; two 18th /19th century lignum vitae carpet bowl with ring turned decoration, 3¼ ins (8.5 cm) and 3 ins (7.5 cm) dia; a sycamore or fruitwood carpet bowl, 3½ ins (9 cm) dia and a late 19th century fruitwood shallow circular dish with straight sides, possibly for loose change, 4¾ ins (12 cm) dia.

The other also with a flared lip to the bowl and with an annulated knop to the stem over a flat circular foot. 6¼ ins (16 cm) and 6 ins (15 cm) respectively.

    A Pair of 19th Century Dwarf Oak Candlesticks and Spill Vases. The candlesticks with heavy knopped baluster stems over stepped circular bases, the flared sconces with inset iron protectors, English c1820, 5 ins (13 cm) & 5¼ ins (13.5 cm) in height; the taller example with an old re-stuck break to the base. The 'cannon barrel' spill vases of cylindrical column form turned with two moulded bands, each over a moulded circular stepped base, 5¾ ins (15 cm) high.
