An Unusual House Sampler by 'Charlot (ot) Clark her work 4 1821'. Worked in muted tones, and displaying a double fronted house with trees, flowering plants, peacocks, birds, dogs & squirrels above a frieze with a shepherd & his lady, each holding a crook. The piece in its original rosewood frame, 15½ ins x 12¼ ins (39.5 cm x 31 cm).

A Good Quality George III Sampler by Catherine Morrison dated 1807. The brightly coloured decoration includes a moralistic verse with birds and floral motifs in an original ebonised frame, 12 ins x 12 ins (30 cm x 30 cm).

A Very Fine and Beautifully Worked Scottish 'House' Sampler, by Agnes Johnson aged 11 years, 1831. The piece worked in shades of green and beige, having typical Scottish motifs including peacocks, thistles and a picket fence, in its original light oak frame, 14½ ins x 12½ in (37 cm x 32 cm).

A Rare Victorian Sampler, 'Ann Marie Turner her work done in Mr Raine's Alysum in the year of our Lord 1846'. The piece depicting Adam & Eve, floral motifs & a dog, 14 ¾ in x 11 ½ ins (37.5 cm x 29 cm). [Henry Raine was a philanthropist who set up a boarding school for poor girls and boys to learn skills for future employment. The name Asylum did not have the same connotations as it does today].
