    Demétre Chiparus (1888-1950) Rumanian. A Gilt Bronze & Ivory Figure of an Exotic Dancer with arms stretched, stood on a stepped onyx marble plinth. Her head, arms and feet carved from ivory; her long dress, turban and jewellery cast from gilt bronze, signed Chiparus 19½ ins (49.5 cms) in height.

    A Victorian Desk Set comprising of an associated paper knife, stationary box with domed front and folder clad in crocodile skin with an ornate embossed silvered metal overlay depicting cherubs cavorting amongst lavish sprays of acanthus, rococo scrolls and floral garlands centred by vacant cartouches; the stationary box having a hinged front opening to reveal a stepped interior lined in brown taffeta. The paper knife having an ivory blade and silver clad handle.
