    A Large & Impressive Early 19th Century Balloon Clock. The movement striking a bell and having an 8¼ inch (21 cm) round enamel dial signed Richard Ganthony, Lombard Street London and numbered 402, with corresponding number and name engraved into the brass back-plate. The mahogany and satinwood case of fabulous quality having rosewood cross-banded borders outlined in stringing. The square pediment sweeping up to a small platform surmounted by a flaming urn finial. The moulded plinth base with a band of nulling to the front, raised on brass lion paw feet with corner ornamentation, 28 ins (71 cms) in height.
