The iron book rest bars screwed into the back of it's outspread wings; it's claws clasping a large ball revolving on a triform pedestal carved with bands of foliage and pendant ball flowers and having a flat moulded triform plinth base with open brackets of crested S-scrolls, 65 ins (165 cms) in height.

    A Fabulous Elizabethan Carved Oak Section of Bed Panelling. The four panels divided by pregnant caryatids; their swollen bellies above pendant garlands of fruit and foliage; the central figure raised up to dissect the frieze and flanked by undulating foliage bearing fruit and winged angel heads below a dentil moulded band. The outer panels marquetried with flowering plants; the inner panels each carved with a musician sat strumming a lute in a beaded scrolling cartouche, 24 ins (61 cms) high, 67½ ins (171 cms) in width.
