    A Fabulous Quality 18th Century Carved Limewood & Pine Overdoor panel attributed to Robert Adams, ornately carved with delicate Neo-classical motifs and having a frieze of lavishly scrolling acanthus leaves coiled around rosette terminals and flanking flaming urns with rams head mounts on hair paw tripods. The dentilated top moulding ornamented with bands of stiff leaves, nulling, acanthus and tongue & dart designs and having a row of finely executed paterae alternated with acanthus scroll 'corbel' blocks. This overdoor was sourced three miles from and is quite possibly from Harewood House where in the 1840's Sir Charles Barry was commissioned to redesign the dining room abolishing at the same time some of Adam's original work. The back inscribed in pencil; 'South West Corner of Dining Room'; there being a door in that corner.

    A Large Adams Style Carved & Painted Fire Surround. The Moulded over-mantel with breakfront corners above scroll-topped swept uprights headed by small beaded panels depicting classical urns and flanking the stop-fluted frieze. The flutes ornamented with rising palm leaves and centred by a breakfront panel carved with flaming torches tied by a flowing ribbon and festooned in strings of beads. The top measuring 61 ins (155 cms) in height and 84 ins (214 cms) in width, the inside measurements 41 ins x 49 ins (104 cms x 125 cms).
