    A Pretty Black Lacquered Papier-mâché Writing Box. The sloped lid and sides decorated with a mass of flowers, foliage and scrolling tendrils depicted in fine line gilding and inlaid with coloured mother-of-pearl. The interior with further decoration and a tooled purplish-pink velvet writing slope framed in a leather border enriched with gilded foliage with a compartment enclosed below and inkwell & pen partitions to the back. Containing a small Tunbridge-ware stamp box, carved mother-of-pearl quill form pen, a small book of Poetry of the Heart, a 1913 pocket calendar, a leather bound book of daily excerpts from the bible entitled; 'Good Cheer' and a woolwork union jack pin holder.

    A Charming Black Lacquered Chinoiserie Table Cabinet. The two cabinet doors having oval panels decorated with figures on a recessed ground ornamented with a mass of gilded flowers and foliage within ornate borders of undulating foliage. The top, sides and back depicting figures and pagodas framed in bands of flowers. The interior fitted with five drawers having turned flat roundel handles, decorative gilded floral sprays to the fronts and Chinese characters labeling the drawer backs with rockwork, bamboo, prunus blossom and moths adorning the door backs. Standing on short bracket feet 14 ins high, 12¼ ins wide and 7 ins deep (36 x 31 x 17.5 cms).

    A Fine Oriental Parquetry & Lacquered Table Cabinet on Stand. The cabinet having a raised box section to the top with a bevel-edged lid opening to reveal a compartmented interior above six small drawers enclosed behind panel doors and flanked by protuberant banks of four drawers either side, with a long drawer below. The whole inlaid with a patchwork of various veneers outlined in ebony stringing and enriched with asymmetric segments of honeycomb & knotted band inlay. The corners mounted with shaped brackets echoing the ornamental hinges and central escutcheon. The cabinet doors having recessed panels lacquered with birds and boughs of fruiting pomegranate trees. Standing on a low table-form base 18½ ins overall in height, 153/4 ins wide and 4½ ins deep (47 cms x 40 cms x 11.5 cms).
