The machine engraved case edged in a border of cast flowers and engraved with the initials MH in a small panel to the centre of the lid, the inner lid pierced with a mass of scrolling flowers and foliage enhanced by engraved detailing.

    A Georgian Silver Gilt Viniagrette Hallmarked Birmingham 1816 and stamped with Samuel Pemberton maker's initials. The case decorated with guilloche bands on one side; the lid inscribed in gothic capitals L'AMITIÉ (friendship) in a matted panel within as border of cast flowers. The inner lid pierced and engraved with a bird amidst scrolling foliage.
