London hallmarks for 1914 with James Samuel Bell maker's punch; the replacement taper stick hallmarked London 1965 with Wakely & Wheeler makers' mark.

The pot of rectangular form having a reeded shoulder band and machine engraved edging; the lid surmounted by a coiled serpent forming a ring handle. The burner suspended between four sabre legs headed by ornamental rosettes and terminating on lion paw feet, mounted on a polished wooden plinth, 14 in (36 cm) in height.
