    A Small Augsburg Brass Box with secret lock. The box of rectangular form engraved with an allegory of literature holding a scroll and book within a centre roundel amidst scrolling foliage. The base stamped with a crowned 'C' punchmark, 1¾ x 6¾ x 3½ in (4.5 x 17 x 19 cm).

The runners composed of 18th century tapestry fragments woven with flowers and foliage and edged in gold braid with fringed ends, one 9 ins x 30 ins (23 cm x 76 cms), the other 9 ins x 24 ins (23 cm x 61 cms). One cushion covered in kelim backed with dark blue velvet 16 ins x 18 ins (40 cm x 46 cms), the other covered in fragment panels of golden yellow damask woven with flowers and pomegranates edged with metallic gold fringing 16 ins x 22 ins (40 cm x 56 cms).
