The cylindrical candle socket pierced with an ejector hole and embellished with punch-work, centring a rectangular drip tray mounted onto a repoussé back plate decorated with The Spies of Canaan, 10½ in (27 cm) high, 7 in (18 cm) wide, 3 in (10 cm) deep.

    Two Brass Alms Dishes: One late 18th Century in the 16th century style, embossed with depiction of The Canaan Spies to the convex centre panel within a band inscribed AVE GRATIA PLENA ANNO DOMINI 1502, and decorative border enriched with punchwork, 16 in (40 cms) in diameter. The other 19th century with depiction of Samson wrestling a lion encircled by Latin inscription VIS VITÆ TRANSEAT IN EXEMPLUM, 16 in (41 cms) in diameter.

The back composed of two rows of ball turned spindles between slightly bowed bar bars flanked by repeated ball turned uprights with wing extensions either side. The shaped arms above rush seats edged with protective wooden strips and standing on ball turned legs united by stretchers and terminating on curved rockers.
