Each with a dark patinated winged cherub mounted on a round marble pedestal swagged in tasselled chain and terminating on separate rosewood plinths.     LOT NUMBER 40

    A 19th Century Louis XV Style Black Tortoiseshell Boulle Bracket Clock by Lesage à Paris. The enamel numerals set within an embossed gilt metal dial with an Apollo sunburst face mask pendulum. The balloon case having a raised pediment surmounted by a putto seated upon an orb above the swept sides ornately inlaid with scrolls of foliate brass, and embellished with ormolu mounts cast in the form of asymmetric sprays of foliage. The arched glazed sides revealing the movement and the front having a winged cherub plaque with the signed enamel oval. Standing on scroll knop feet. 21 is (54 cms) in height, 10½ ins (27 cms) in width, 5 ins (13 cms) deep.
