An 18th Century Burr Walnut Veneered Bureau inlaid with cross-banding. The sloped fall-front with a lip-moulded edge on loper supports above three long cock-beaded drawers fitted with ornately cast brass handles & escutcheons. The interior fitted with pigeon holes and drawers flanking a central cupboard with a slide-out lid to the base concealing a secret compartment. Standing on bracket feet 41½” (105 cm) high, 34¾” (88 cm) wide.
