An 18th Century Chippendale Style Mahogany Kneehole Dressing Bureau. [similar to designs for Paxton House, see Christopher Gilbert’s ‘Life & Works of Chippendale’ page 228-229] The rectangular single piece top with moulded edge above a blind fret-carved frieze of trellis work incorporating a single drawer enclosing a brushing slide. The recessed kneehole cupboard flanked by three cock-beaded drawers either side raised on bracket feet, 32” (81 cm) high, 33¾” (86 cm) wide, 21” (53.5 cm) deep.
