Description
A Fine & Impactful 16th Century English Oak Panel with pierced Tracery, Circa 1520. The piece depicting male & female heads opposite each other set in reduced roundels with the head of a King to the centre. The striking facial expressions possibly caricaturing ”The Feast of Fools”. The lower centre of the panel having a later fill it. The piece surrounded by a later 17th century frame. 9¾” (24.5 cm) high, 39½” (100.5 cm) wide, 4½” (11.5 cm) deep, including the framing.
