A 19th Century Irish Killarney Box. The square yew-wood lid bordered with marquetry sprays of budding foliage and leafy scrolls forming fleur-de-lys at the corners, framing a pen-work scenic panel depicting church ruins within chequer strung bands. The side with further marquetry sprays. The lid’s interior inlaid with a harp and sprays of shamrocks, framed in chequer bands. 3¼” (8 cm) high, 8¾” (22 cm) square.
